I e-mailed the editor, Diana Rupp, and confessed my crime. Don't know how it occurred, but the caption was supposed to read: ""Fancy walnut doesn't necessarily mean extra weight. The top rifle is an Ultra Light Arms Model 24 .30-06, which weighs under seven pounds with scope. The bottom rifle is a Merkel K1 single-shot .308 Winchester, which also weighs under 7 pounds scoped." (The Merkel is also obviously not the same rifle as the CZ 550 9.3x62 shown with the zebra.
