I appreciate all the suggestions by folks. The Trijicon 3-18x44 is a FFP scope. I've heard good things about Trijicon, and especially about the 3-18x44. But it is a FFP scope, and I am not interested in FFP. I wish they made it in SFP.
At this point, I am struggling between the Zeiss V4 4-16x44 (or 50mm) as the safe option, or possibly giving the Leica Amplus 6 3-18x44 a try. The little info I have seen on the Leica is good, but it is still relatively new, and so I haven't seen much beyond a "first impression" type of review on it.
