I went the full route of appeals for SS, with a messed up back
If you can make something like $500 per month, they won't give it to you. I was getting full dissablility from the company (2/3 my wage) that would quit after two yrs unless I got full dissability from SS. Then I found out my retirement pension from the company would be based on the 2/3 pay instead of my full pay and even though I was still an employee, the yr's I was on dissability were not counted as yrs in service for my pension plan .
I sucked it up, kept on with pain pills and went back to work for a few yrs until I was 60 and pulled the plug.

If God wanted you to walk and carry things on your back, He would not have invented stirrups and pack saddles
