Yeah Lee, I'd be for double checkin' those loads outa the original article. A might conservative on the Wby loads and I suspect a bit hot on the STW side. Haven't seen a wby yet that wouldn't edge 3700 with a 26" barrel with a healthy dose of RL22 and a mollied 100. As has been mentioned, I think Layne's loads mighta been a tad hot like pushin' 70K plus on the 7STW and I doubt he was any more conservative on the 257. Just from my personal experiences, I never felt comfortable pushin' more than 3800ish outa the 27" STW I had without seein' pressure signs real quick and that was runnin' molly. I can push 36ish outa the 24" wby I currently run with nothin' remotely troubling.
