In general of the load isn't exceeding 2900 in a 22" barrel (or a little more in a 24") then you are OK.

57-58 grains with a 150 (whether a Partition or whatever) is generally one of the most accurate loads in most .270's. If it won't group into an inch or better at 100 yards then something is wrong with the rifle, or your handloads.

And in any case, even 1.5" groups are plenty accurate enough for elk out to 450 yards.
