Atkinson, the ballistic charts were one of the reasons I chose this caliber. It offered alot punch for a smaller bore. It seemed to be the right balance of recoil and performance for me. As I get older the recoil is less fun. I thought about the 257WBY but I already have 3 2506's I wanted to try something between the 30 and the 25. I shot it today and the recoil seems about like a 3006, very shootable. I think its a bit much for whitetails but some day I may go on an elk hunt before I get to old.

I only shot 6 rounds loaded with the 7828, tomorrow I may load some with rl22.

I appreciate all you guys input Thanks
