Yes the lower light transmission suffers when adding power to anything and not increasing the Obj dia. These certainly lose some of the light gathering but are still very usable at legal hunting light and practical shooting ranges.
Some go through life wondering if they made a difference. The Marines don't have that problem. Ronald Regan
