I'm not a rabid shotgunner, but have had several experiences where I just can't miss with one unit and can't buy a hit with another. Short of dropping some clays, how does one determine whether he is getting proper fit while standing at the counter.

As an example, we have some kid size Handi 20 guage units for our hunter safety group, and I can't miss with them. With the kid sized Rem pump, I can't touch a bird. I'm 6' 4" and obviously neither of those units really fit me.

My personal unit is a 40 year old Mossberg pump 12 guage, rattles to no end and shells will drop out if one is tilted to the right, but it shoots lights out.
