Federal, 30 gr Speer HP, 1,548

For comparison, my chronographed rifle velocities for .22 LR are about 1,000 fps (e.g., std vel target)to 1,250 fps (e.g., Remington bulk 37 gr HP).

In my experience from hunting with both, the .22 mag out of the pistol hits harder and has a flatter trajectory (especially the 30 gr bullet above) than the .22 LR out of the same revolver. The bullets (especially current ones) are also better than in .22 LR.

Good shooting!

It is a lot of years ago, but in 2000 I did chronograph the two. my results were smilar with the 22 mag but 40gr cci solids 1350, Blaser hp 1450 and 40 gr Federal 22 lr 950 but that was out of the 22 mag cylinder which ruptured the cases.
