My dad recently gave me a Winchester 94 1776-1976 Bi-Centennial that is NIB. He bought it new. I don't have any "safe queens", so the question is wether or not to take it on either a mule deer or cow elk hunt this fall. I usually draw a cow permit about 100mi from home and last year shot my elk on opening day with a 270. Shots are usually less than 100yds so I was thinking about trying out the 94 on at least the first two days. What ya think.. shoot it or not?
