Did you ever give the 100 grain partition a run? I suspect that it would also be very good on your deer at those ranges. I have never tried it mine always sticking to the 120BT's. A mate runs the hornady 100 grain and is pretty happy with that. Light for calibre but a solid little bullet.

I have tried the 100 grain Partitions and don't ask me why, but the other 100 grainers performed better on deer..

a solid hit on a deer with the 100 grain Partition, the deer still went a 100 yds or so.. but since their was no brush, it was easy to track..it was a pretty small deer also..
