Very nice guns, built before Winchester went downhill in the 60s. One quirk of 77s is that the barrel is pinned in and you have to remove it to disassemble and clean the action. Under the circumstances I'd recommend a dry lube that won't collect dirt because you won't want to have to clean it very often.
