Thanks for getting back to us on this. I am hapy for you that it's a defective scope. I sure hope Burris will fix it.

Also, at this time, I now consider Burris scopes to be something to avoid. I'm a binary type of guy when it comes to riflescopes; it either works or it doesn't work. I can deal with those two states, but silently going bad over a period of time is not a quality I look for in a scope. You didn't say how old your scope is but I have scopes that are multi-decades old and have been used quite a bit and they do not exhibit that "feature." Then again, they are not Burris and I will never buy a Burris on the strength of your experience. Thanks for the heads up.
