The left hand Model 700s in .22-250 were only made during the first run of left hand short actions around 1989 to 1991 or so.

On the one hand, kind of a shame to take apart a good rifle in that caliber when they are sort of rare. But, it's your rifle.

On the other hand, those were some well made Remingtons so at least you're starting with a good action as a basis for whatever you do.
