I dont have it in front of me but there is a book about Fred Bear and his Polar Bear Hunt for the American Sportsman. I think one of the Fred Bear websites has the video of the hunt. Its only a portion of the show maybe 3-5 mins but really cool. Here in Michigan there was an old show "Michigan Out Doors" the orginal host Mort Neff was a really cool guy. I met him once when I was very young when me and my dad and uncle were fishing the Betsie River in NW Michigan. The old shows focused on the excitment of the HUNT not the kill, and the comrodery that was the most important thing about hunting camp/fishing camp. Now its all about tactics and gear and rack scores. I wasnt part of the "Golden Age" of sportsmen but I miss it.
