The 60 gr. V-Max is super accurate from my Colt 6724 varmint AR15, and I run them over 26 grs. 748 for 3080 ft/sec. I agree that they make a mess, and I wouldn't use them on deer. There are better bullets for that such as the 60 gr. Partition or some of the Barnes offerings.
