I had one a few years back that had a laminated stock and detachable magazine with an older Japanese Tasco 3-9x40 on it.The trigger wasn't great but I was able to make it better. Accuracy was good enough to consistently kill ground squirrels or anything else you'd use a 22WMR for at 22WMR ranges.

I decided I didn't need it since I had a 223. I wish I still had the Marlin though; didn't cost a lot, didn't worry about dinging it up and it always worked.
