I had SST I couldnt recover either cause they disentegrated! ....but yeah you have a good point moderate velocities of 30-30AI might be a better fit. Yes definetely not putting together a BIG game gun, trying to build a "stalking" gun for the whitetails in the bottoms and drainages of eastern Wyo.
