I'm trying to simplify reloading my only 223, it has a 1-9 barrel. I'd like to sight it in with one bullet that won't break the bank to shoot a lot and forget about rezeroing for different bullet weights. I want a bullet that would be effective on deer under 200 yards, coyotes and ground squirrels. So far it looks like the 55 gr Hornady SP might be it. Haven't used it on deer but some shooters here like it for a .224 deer bullet. In the past it's worked for me on coyotes and ground squirrels. Any better "all purpose, economical" .224 bullets out there? Thanks.

Is Hornady's 55 gr. SP cannelure bullet less explosive than their std. Hornady 55 gr SP or is there much difference?
