Im riggin out a 338 WM as a no holds barred bruiser for rough country use in a scabbard on horse or mule, I ordered some supplies from Midway the other day and wanted to pass on a heads up.
The Montana leather sling by Sinclair Manufacturing is the best darn leather sling Ive ever used, the Man that came up w/ this design is brilliant, I always worry about squeeking swivels or general movement of a traditional sling when raising the rifle to fire at game.
Not a concern with this design, after Your on stand or in Your blind silently snug up the sling, no squeeks, rattles, or flappin' leather in the breeze.
Same can be said for holstering Your rifle in a scabbard, simply snug up and sink it, Ive been messing w/ this sling last night and today and think its one of the simpliest most clever designs Ive ever seen, done called Midway yesterday afternoon and ordered 6 more, if any of You Men are considering a leather sling You gotta try one of these.
