Depends a lot on how hard they are.
And the lube in the grooves. I've shot
hard alloy, heat treated ones over 3200 fps,
and rifling as clean as jacketed.
I also found that hard alloy lubed ones,
no treating, in big bores don't lead the barrel,
once you get above 2700.ED
