The Ruger 77s in 7x57 that I've owned have had longer/deeper throats than the single Ruger 77 in 280 that I've owned, but the difference in accuracy wasn't significant enough to determine what factor was most influentual. They have all been 1.5+/- MOA shooter and have had luck of the draw factory barrels. There was no meaningful difference between the barreled action shot in a standard 77R stock vs. the same barreled action shot in an 77 RSI mannlicher once I installed a neoprene 0-ring at the muzzle.
