I've heard people complain about prices on jobs that I've done for myself. They generally have no idea in what's involved in doing a job right, much less specialized tool costs spread over only a few uses per year. Then some think that the cost of a particular job relates to what they have into a firearm, as if it takes less time and care to do the same job on a low grade off the used rack than a custom. No wonder gunsmiths tend to get grumpy.
