Not for big magnum cases, it isn't. It is just i am not into magnums. But the vast majority of Blaser owners shoot magnums, and the rifle has been built for them. It isn't that big and heavy - just bigger than the R93.

Personally, i am contemplating getting a 338 mag just to justify the size of the rifle!
