I've got a brand new never installed Remington kit I don't need, I don't know anything about them being a POS. PM me if you want. $55 TYD I have the one in the first link in the post above.
I used this conversion on a rifle my dad had. Uncle now has it. Wasn't too big a deal to swap out and works as advertized. Holds a 209 in place and the bolt semi protects if from the elements.
Not quite as protected as my TC Omega but using common sense, primer should be protected well enough.
Functions great and shoots great...
I got no complaints.
