I have been messing with the sights on my .358 BLR for several years. The factory irons are very accurate, but too small for my aging eyes. I went with a Williams receiver & high post front for a couple of years. Finally, this past year, I think I've got it right. Williams fiber optic rear with Marbles fiber optic front (available in lime green, unlike Williams). Then, Weaver scope mounts which are dished, allowing the use of open sights. And finally, a Leupold 1x4 in QD lever mounts. So far, it's working out real well.
