Ever have buyer's remorse? I saw this Savage at a dealer -- it was love at first sight. The honeymoon ended after getting it home, actually while driving home. I realized I have no use for this firearm. I talked to the dealer and they agreed to take it back and refund my money. I will be doing that this weekend (Mar. 3-4), but thought I'd put it up here just in case anyone is interested in a fine looking Savage 24V. It is in excellent condition overall. The straight English-style stock is unique. Never having seen a 24V with this stock configuration, I asked questions on the Savage Collectors Forum. No definitive answers were provided other than the only known 24V with a straight stock was a "camper" model. So, I am not sure if the stock is an after-market addition or original. In either case, it is a lovely stock in very nice condition.

I am going to offer this for sale here for two days. If no buyer, it goes back. It is a Savage 24V Series D in .223 Rem/20 ga 3". The action is case hardened and in very good condition. The blued barrels are in equally good condition, as is the wood. I have not yet fired this gun, but everything appears to be in good order (it was checked out by dealer smith).

I paid $495.00 + tax (which was probably too much, but it so danged nice). If anyone is interested, I will sell for $525.00 shipped which is roughly my cost including tax (I save the cost of getting back to the dealer). Let's say I need an "I'll take it" by 8:00 AM Wisconsin time Mar. 3.

I have several photos available at the link below and will be happy to take more detailed ones if someone has an interest.
