Yeah, dogzapper, I believe you. My daughter drives an '09 Pontiac G8 GT, which has a 361hp 6.0. This engine runs fine on regular unleaded, but you lose about 5hp, if you don't run premium. So, I am not the least bit surprised if this wouldn't apply to a 403hp 6.2 as well.
