That was kind of my thinking as well. That and I was wanting to stay with the 1 in 8" as well.
Don't sell the 1-9" short. I few months ago I read an article on AR-15 twist, and the 1-9 shot everything well up to the 77gr bullets while still spinning the 40s into little clusters.
