We shouldn't have any extraction issues as we don't plan to hot-rod it at all. If we can bust clay pigeons set on the hillside with it we will be happy! I know there are "better" cartridges out there (read that as easier to come by!) but it is fun to play with something "different" that also has a "vintage" feel to it.

This is my son's last year to be able to shoot a doe during general season and the more he thinks about it, the more he REALLY wants to try and get close enough to whack one with the 25-35 out of the Contender.

At close range we shouldn't have any trouble getting the 100 gr. Ballistic Tip to do its job on a young deer.
