When I turned 50 some well-intentioned soul told me that the 50's were the 'youth' of old age. The .44 Rem Mag occupies much the same niche--the puny cal of 'large' calibers. I like my .454's, my .480 and my .500. I even like shooting the .45-70 BTG (Big Tough Guy--otherwise known as BFR) and the rifle calibers in that tinker-toy TC not to mention the rifle calibers in all the bolt action hand cannons like the striker. And I REALLY like shooting my .460 performance center. But a friend of mine who has a fist-slammer in .458 Lot is NEVER going to get me to touch it off while it is resting in MY fist! I've got a feeling that when my old age 'youth' has fermented into something more 'mature' I'm probably going to have to give up some of those other more robust toys also. In the meantime, I really get a kick out of some of these pilgrims running around in our bear-infested mountains with their .357 mag 'bear guns'. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
