Hubert, 99's aren't allowed. They require tube magazine and exposed hammer. That way they keep out the Winchester 1895's and the 99's. Your Ruger 44's should work fine with reasonable cast bullet loads. I shoot my 44 mag with 7 grns of Unique and a 240 gr Cast SWC. It shoots fine and is SASS legal. Ryan
