question on the 22 Hornet--since it was a 22 mag, would you have to load .223 bullets instead of .224 bullets?

To my knowledge:
.22 mag (WMR) and .22 Hornet both have a bullet diameter of .224.
.22LR has a bullet diameter or .223... but not the mag (WMR)
This barrel shoots factory 22 hornet ammunition very well, and I was working on a load (.224) to shrink groups but lost interest somewhere along the way and it just sat.
