sigguy Campfire Member S Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 453 PNW	I have one what I believe is one of the "pre-UCC" Monarchs in 4x40. I bought it new in the late 90's. It is a one piece design, made in Japan, that looks very similar in construction to my slightly later 6x42 Monarch. The pre-UCC 4x40 has been a great scope, and I've yet to have a problem with it after being mounted on a couple of different rifles. Good to know that Nikon is standing behind these older scopes!
