I have a Stainless/Walnut .280 Rem. X-bolt, through which I have pushed 180 rounds so far. It is a decent enough rifle, but I still prefer my Kimber 84L or Model 70s over it. In my view, it is in the same class as my Tikkas and a good accurate push feed platform. However, the pot metal bottom and bolt shroud is harder for me to take than the Tikkas poly in the same applications. On the other hand, I really like being able to open the bolt with the safety on and the rotary mag feeding function of the X-bolt. I am not interested in purchasing another X-bolt, but I am definitely keeping the one that I have and plan on shooting it a lot. CP.
