Watching the world juniors is a traditional part of the holiday season at our house, and the Canadian TV networks do a respectable job of providing coverage. The Canadian team is not looking so strong this year, and will have to pick it up to get into the medals. While many may be disappointed by the results, I am always impressed by the high calibre of play, and the fact that there are several teams capable of going home with gold ... U.S., Canada, Sweden, Czechs, Russia ... and most of the others are competitive. I think Canada plays the Slovaks tomorrow ...on TV at 8:00 a.m. local time, and I'll be watching.
