Nope tried both of those and they did not work as well. The socks I had were ugly looked almost like someone's very talented grandmother knitted them. I would take a pic but folks would laugh at the holes in the heels and big toe. With a light pair of cotton socks under the wool socks I had your feet just did not get cold even wearing those old Rocky slip on ankle height camp shoes.
I went back to the sho where I bought them a half dozen times hunting more of them. I know they were almost 100% wool.
