I've had two of the original models, the first started to give inconsistent readings and was exchanged.

The replacement is going strong, the circle for aiming is kinda big so it is difficult to range smaller targets at longer range, wish it had a different reticle.

I dislike how either the reticle or image is in focus, not both. This is an issue with most rangefinders though.

Works on deer sized targets consistently out to around 550yds at 650yds I get a reading about 25% of the time.
Longest reading I've ever got was a neighbors chimney at about 1000yds.

If this one broke I would borrow one until a good deal on a Leica came along. You do get what you pay for but if you need one and $250 is your budget you are probably not going to find a better new unit at that price.

Plus you could always take them up on their bulletproof money back guarantee if you really didn't like it.
