After reading through "The Drugging of the American Boy" thread and article, I came across a link to this Mother Jones article about the history of market and media manipulation by the sugar industry. "Big Sugar's Sweet Little Lies"
http://www.motherjones.com/environment/2012/10/sugar-industry-lies-campaignIt then dawned on me that if an agribusiness like sugar and its lobbyists could pull something like this off, how much more capable would such an organization as the US pharmaceutical industry be capable of doing real harm to us in the interest of making a buck. IE, anti-deppressants that trigger violence, and mass murders, cholesterol-lowering medications that cause impotence (requiring more pills) and cause diabetes (fact). Where does this schidt end?
