so to make short a long story.... from 270W to 458 every hunter can find his beloved cartridge.... his optimum or his minimum.... for me the optimum for hunting in Alaska and especially brown bear is a 338 for another hunter it will be a 375. Some native kill polar bear with a 22 hornet or 222 rm... in lower state my optimum caliber is a 7mm RM for another hunter it will be a 300WHY... We can start a new optimum minimum lower state (mule deer, elk, antelope) post....
