I've seen tree rats shot at 50' +/- and under for a long time. The other day I witnessed one on a branch looking at me with his body lined up so the pellet (bullet) would hit him in the head and travel the length of his body. A thing I've never had the opportunity to witness. The skull or chest hit always leaves two holes.

Well, surprise, surprise, the angle was off a bit and the bullet caught him b/t the eyes, went down the chest wall, tore the ribs up and lodged behind his shoulder blade, busting the blade to pieces and lodged finally under the skin. Total penetration was maybe 2 -1/2" and the distance of flight for the bullet was about 15'. My friend who did the shooting out of the city limits was as amazed as I was.

It's illegal to discharge a firearm yet a guy can legally shoot a pellet gun within the city limits. Go figure that one. Anybody got a good used legal tree rat killer for sale ?? Has to be reliably accurate and preferbly scope mounted. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
