A local Depuy Sheriff was checking a low water crossing last night when she radio'd that she was being swept away by the water.

They found her car further downstream but haven't been able to find her yet. And because of continued storms and floods they've had to call off the search for her body.

At this point, it'd be good to pray for her family and that they're even able to find her body.

10:30 a.m. UPDATE: Travis County Sheriff's Office confirms a female deputy is missing after her patrol car was swept away by flood waters.

Roger Wade, Travis County Sheriff's Office PIO, says the deputy was checking out the low water crossing in the 3400 block of Fritz Hughes Park, when Wade says the deputy radioed to say she was being swept away in the water.

Searchers have found her submerged patrol car.

Emergency crews have been searching the area since 2 a.m.

Travis County Star Flight responded to a water rescue located at the 3400 block of Fritz Hughes Park.

Rescue crews arrived and found a vehicle that had been swept away by flood waters but were could not locate the driver.

Land, water and air assets remain on scene searching for the driver.
