Some of the early Pilots had transmission problems (one of Honda's weaknesses) around 100K miles. I have a 2004, it gets about 14 city, and up to 24 highway. I use mine for hunting also, it's OK off road and has decent clearance for some rough dirt roads.
I like mine, it has lots of room, three seat rows, comfortable seats, and drives well on the highway. It is also pretty reliable.
