I was wondering if the safety cleared the scope.I bet there is a crest under your front base that could id it.I had a old FN Belgian in factory 30-06 years ago it had a big B ,and the letters ABL under the base.It had a sporter stock,and Buler low swing safty,but still had the hard long creep trigger.Dad brazed a little nut with a set screw on the trigger,and put a lighter spring in it,and it really felt good.It shot good too.They were made in the late 40s,and early 50s,so I dont think it ever saw combat..
