I've ridden snowmobiles a few times, but have never owned one, and I am thinking of picking up a used machine for the winter. Riding would be primarily trail riding, and maybe some frozen lakes for ice fishing. I'm more concerned with a comfortable ride, reliability, and maybe carrying/pulling some supplies than I am with "race-like" performance. Given that background, does anyone have any recommendations of what to look for, or what to stay away from in a used sled? 2-stroke vs. 4-stroke? Specific manufacturers or models? I know that generally the liquid cooled machines are generally longer lived than fan cooled, just hoping to get some input here so as not to jump into the local used market blind. Thanks!
