That is not exactly true but those poor folks being held would have a lot better chance of seeing another birthday if they were all carrying right now.
Isn't it pretty mucha cold day in hell when a law abiding citizen can carry a handgun in Oz?
Handguns are almost impossible to get in OZ I understand but long guns can be had. In this case the laws are almost as guilty of endangering these folks as the bad guys.
Not that hard to own a handgun in Queensland. The rules vary by state or territory.
