I hear about people building ARs all the time. I hear a lot of questions and responses regarding what muzzle device and such. People speak about gassing the gun correctly and recoil will be negligible.
So if you have a rifle length gas system on a 14.5" barrel does it recoil less? Or is it any different if you have a carbine or pistol length gas system on a 24" barrel?
How much does weight of the gun play into recoil if you arent using a muzzle device?
I only ask this as i saw a "pigtail" gas tube the other day and couldnt figure out what the heck was going on there?
So, for lowest recoil with no muzzle device on a 16" barrel, what gas system and buffer? Same question for a 14.5" barrel with a pinned muzzle device.

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy!
