I recently purchased a Model 1907 .32 ACP to use as an occasional shooter. It was manufactured in 1913. I detail stripped it for a good cleaning and oiling. I bought a Wolff spring kit and replaced the recoil spring but did not install the new striker spring. I have not yet test fired it but everything seems good with some A-Zoom snap caps fed through the mag. The trigger pull is heavy ! I do not have a gauge but it's probably the stiffest of any automatic I own and much heavier than my Savage 1917. Is this about normal for this model ? If I took the new Wolff striker spring and cut a couple of coils off of it, would that help or not be a good idea in case the striker spring is supposed to take up some recoil energy along with the recoil spring ? Thanks
