That's not to say they were never made, Browning made a lot of unusual guns for the european market that were never meant for export to the U.S.. Several very interesting guns were brought back by hunters, tourists and others. One of the most interesting guns that I worked on was a Safari Grade in .404 Jeffrey.
It would make sense that they made them for Europe since they drive on the other side of the road.
