I purchased a Ruger M77 HE Compact in 762X39MM several years ago, along with a Mini Thirty. Added a Redfield 2-7X scope and it works just fine as a bolt action .30/30. Won't win any accuracy trophies for best group but I like it. Best of all...seems 762X39mm SP ammo is readily available. Just wish .22LR would show up too. Homesteader.
